Greetings! We’re Don and Halley along with our sons, Izzadore (Izzy) and Ozzwynn (Ozzy), the proud owners of Agate Lake Resort. When Halley was a young girl, she often visited a family operated resort with her family, and it was then that she began to dream of one day having her own resort. As a couple, we have continued to travel to northern Minnesota every summer to relax and build our dream of one day running a family resort. We are now fulfilling that lifelong dream!

 

Halley earned her degree in Hospitality Management and has over 15 years of sales and operations experience in the hospitality industry along with an extensive background in wedding and event planning. Don is a certified welder accomplished in machine handling and operation and tool repair and maintenance. He also has experience as a firefighter and in emergency care services. Together, we make a great, well-rounded leadership duo along with our amazing ALR staff!

We appreciate the history of this resort and look forward to continuing the legacy that has been built. We know that many of you have numerous memories at the resort and we want you to continue to make memories here. The resort is a remarkable example of God’s creation and is truly a blessing to be shared.
