Boating: As a guest of Agate Lake Resort, you may launch your boat on Agate Lake if you are staying here at the resort, but we have strict policies to prevent invasive species from infiltrating the lake and we do charge a fee for launching. Otherwise, we do offer pontoon and fishing boat rentals.

Shopping: There are distinctive shops from Brainerd, Baxter, up to Nisswa, Crosslake, and Pequot Lakes.

Fishing: Brainerd Lakes area is a fisherman's dream, contact Walleye Dan for an excellent private guide service.

Brainerd International Raceway: is 25 minutes away and the largest raceway in the Upper Midwest.

Gull Lake: If you want to get out on Gull Lake for a day, visit Lake Fun Rentals and they will hook you up.

Golf: Golf Digest rated the Brainerd Lakes one of the
top 50 golf destinations in the world! Take some strokes off your
handicap during your northwoods escape. 

If you are looking for a thrill, try Ziplining.

Bicycling: Rent a bike! Then, you can jump on the Gull Gallivant Trail at the end of Agate Lake Road and ride the 46 mile loop or take Gull Gallivant Trail to the Paul Bunyan State Trail that spans 120 miles from Brainerd to Bemidji.

ATV Trails: Spider Lake ATV Trails are some of the best in the state.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
Snowmobiling: Bring your own or rent a snowmobile and explore the 1,200 miles of trails (AREA MAP) surrounding the resort. Speed down the convenient trails and marvel at the amazing snowy views along the way!

Ice Fishing: Compete in an area tournament, drop a line on Gull Lake, or angle for the big one steps from your cabin on Agate Lake.

Ice Skating: Pack your blades and strike up a game of pond hockey or show off your turns on our Agate Lake ice rink (weather permitting)!

Downhill Skiing, Snowboarding & Tubing: Spend the day tubing, snowboarding or skiing down Ski Gull, located just minutes from ALR. In fact, our lakeside cabins overlook Mount Ski Gull on the opposite side of Agate Lake!

Cross Country Skiing: Skiers will enjoy the magical winter vista on Agate Lake or if you are looking for groomed trails, check out this link for a list of area trails.

Snowshoeing: Bring along your snowshoes and enjoy hiking through our snowy escape right here on the resort property.
